Morocco national football team represents Morocco in international football. The team is controlled by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.

The team''s current head coach is Vahid Halilhodžić and they have appeared in the FIFA World Cup three times, with their best finish being a round-of-16 appearance in 1986. They also won the 1976 Africa Cup of Nations.

Internationally, Morocco is ranked as one of Africa''s top teams by the FIFA rankings and they are considered a major force on the continent, alongside Nigeria and Egypt.

Morocco played their first international match in 1957 against France. They also played friendly matches against European countries during the early years of their history.

The team achieved its best international success by winning the 1976 Africa Cup of Nations under coach Blagoje Paunović, defeating Guinea in the final. They also won the 2018-19 CAF Champions League after defeating Raja CA 3–1 on aggregate.

世界杯历史

Morocco qualified for their first FIFA World Cup in 1970, where they were eliminated at the group stage. They then missed the next two editions of the tournament but returned in 1986 after qualifying as a third place finisher in their qualification group.

At the 1994 World Cup, Morocco was eliminated from the group stages again and did not qualify for the 1998 or 2002 tournaments. They qualified again at the expense of Senegal who failed to meet FIFA''s requirements.

They have been playing better in recent years, qualifying for two major international competitions: The Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup in 2018. They also were ranked higher on the FIFA World Rankings.

On 24 January 2022, Vahid Halilhodžić announced the squad for a friendly match against Brazil on 29 January 2022. After the match, five players were added to the preliminary squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
