Morocco national.html">national football team has appeared in several international competitions since its debut in the 1970 FIFA World Cup. They have qualified for the World Cup four times, with their best finish being a quarter-final appearance in 1986.

In the 2018 World Cup, they defeated Spain on penalties and Portugal to reach the knockout phase, becoming the first African team to do so since Egypt in 1934. However, they were eliminated by Portugal in the round of 16.

They have also appeared in several Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, with their best finish being a runner-up appearance in 2004.
